JOE TOSTE'S 90TH BIRTHDAY

You may not remember or know me.
A Little History:
Somewhere a long the way and many years ago, I may have crossed your path or mainly my Dad
JOE TOSTE (Click Here) who owned Christina’s Pizza in Forest Park Illinois.

A place with the very best pizza was served, where all the kids went. Kind of like a second home, the guy that made you laugh tossing pizzas, bailed some of you out of jail even though you were stealing his daughters hub caps, lent you money, took you fishing, listened, gave you a free meal when you were broke and mainly was a friend and not just a business man.

Or maybe you know him in another venue, anyway he may have touched your life.

I am Joe's daughter, Cori Toste, I changed it way back, I live in the Palm Desert, CA area and graduated in 1955 from Proviso East.

Purpose of this letter:
Joe’s (as he was called) 90th birthday is approaching and believe it or not he is still playing golf….
I’ll share this with you, from a visit at the beginning of June.
My dad chips this ball out of a sand bunker at Lake Lawn over the hill on to the green and 30 feet into the hole. Uncle Steve and I are just screaming "it's going in ... it's going in". Dad almost missed seeing it; the bunker was so far below the hole. What a shot!!!!!! My Dad was elated --- what a wonderful experience when your golfing days are shortening.
I know God was watching. His mantra, as he fists his hand, shoves it up and over his head and down to his waist is 101, 101, 101; I do not believe this is reality… although I pray it will be.

Back to the purpose. I should like to ask you a huge favor.
If you knew my dad, would you be so kind as to acknowledge his 90th birthday which is coming up in a few months and send him a simple note or a birthday card at anytime.
He often talks about those old days and I truly believe he would be overwhelmed
and elated to hear from you.
